This brick three-storey structure was the location of Griffith-McNaughton, Ltd. The side of the building advertises “We manufacture felt for all grades of pulp and paper, also mangle cloths, socks, etc., etc.”.
A mangle cloth was the fabric placed between the rollers of a mangler, a device used to press water out of clothes or fabric.
