One of the great illustrators and animators in Canada, producing such outstanding and beautiful work that is cult like and influential still. The late sixties, early seventies was a real boom time for the animation in Canada, critical in setting the tone of the National Film Board that is still being felt today. Larkin was one of the major contributors to the boom but sadly did not profit from his labour, ultimately descending into a rough and dodgy existance after leaving his creative mark on the NFB. Regardless of his troubles, his legacy will not be forgotten and the work lives on and continues to blow minds.
