The material is a photosensitive resin which changes tone and opacity when exposed to light, it uses a RP system more common to the making of electronics, and uses the hands off technique of stereo lithography (common to rapid prototyping and is majorly foreign to the world of jewellery making, which values the hand-made) to generate the final pieces. Yung is a true pioneer and continues her progress in pulling the jewellery profession from its roots. She initiates fascinating departures that challenge and carry this traditional craft into a high tech (and high touch) contemporary forum. A place where strong ideas rule and beauty is a happy byproduct.
