Designed as the outdoor furniture for Moshe Safdie’s Habitat house at Expo ’67 in Montreal, QC. This was Canada’s first commercially available all-plastic chair and was obviously way ahead of its time. Not only was the polyethylene form easy to rotary mold, it could be lit from below to create warm and effective low lighting, it could be used inside or out, is comfortable and was available in a wide a range of colour options . The upholstered example above was for indoor use, the green version is from the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
