Stefan Siwinski passed away yesterday, quietly in his home surrounded by his work, experiments and memories. I wanted to post this piece (one of my faves) and pay my respect to this furniture making master. I had the brief privilege of meeting and working with Stefan a few years ago at the launch of the CDR, he proved to be a little challenging to work with but the sparkle and creative juice was still there and he was a early supporter of this site. Sadly, another piece of Canadian design heritage has passed but his work will proudly live on in places like this and many more.
