This was the high end booze in it’s day, the one that you pulled from the back of the shelf for Christmas or other special occasions. This market is pretty crowded now but in the silver hair club the Crown is still king. Beyond the bottle and it’s contents the real design story here is the packaging. The purple fabric bag is seen throughout Canada in a range of uses, from marble bags for school kids to quilt material for the grandparents (second image). The secondary uses of this little purple bag are wonderful and I continue to see it in the oddest places.
