Kimball This is a seriously overlooked area of “design” but one that produced some fascinating and curious pieces. These are definite time-capsules and speak strongly of their locations and difficult times. Using bomb casing and metal working techniques, the stories and memories of life during war time are created. The pieces were sent home from the front as mementos of the soldiers experience at the front. The work and spirit of the work is dense, former armaments transformed into useful and utilitarian objects. The results are eery and wonderful.
