Stunning Beauce Candle Lantern designed by Jean Cartier in 1969. This is made out of a white clay with a lovely “matte” green glaze. A great piece of Canadian pottery by a great designer. Jean Cartier became the head designer at Ceramique de Beauce in 1970. Known for his avant-garde design, he moved the company into one of its most interesting periods of design. Cartier left Beauce in 1974 to focus on his own studio.
