Village Champlain was a residential project between Curatteau, Hochelaga, Liébert and Sherbrooke streets. It was comprised of 400 single-family homes in a housing project that featured a church, a mall, parks and a school. Attendees of the grand opening of the mall, the second ever in Montreal, could participate in a raffle for a chance to win an actual house.
